Job summary

Sand Cherry Associates seeks a Business Process Consultant to lead current-state assessments across Operations, O2C, and P2P. You will map processes, interview stakeholders, evaluate controls, and translate findings into practical recommendations with clear business impact.

This 8-week, 1099 hourly engagement requires travel up to 50% and US work authorization. Central Time hours and cross-functional collaboration are essential to deliver a prioritized improvement roadmap.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in business process engineering, BPM, or management consulting.
• Experience conducting current-state assessments in complex organizations.
• Strong ability to map processes with swim lanes and document narratives.
• Experience using process mapping tools (Visio preferred).
• Experience with O2C and/or P2P processes.
• Ability to identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Experience developing transformation roadmaps and prioritized recommendations.
• Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder interviewing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery sessions, workshops, and interviews with key stakeholders and process owners.
• Observe and document how processes are performed across Operations, O2C, and P2P.
• Develop detailed current-state process maps using swim lane methodology.
• Document roles and responsibilities across each process.
• Assess systems, data flows, reports, controls, and handoffs.
• Review existing process documentation, controls, and reports.
• Identify bottlenecks, redundancies, and complexity in processes.
• Identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Evaluate opportunities to simplify, standardize, or redesign processes.
• Prioritize recommendations based on value, risk, and complexity.
• Translate findings into actionable recommendations for leadership.
• Develop a prioritized process improvement roadmap.
