Job summary

The Hershey Company in Hershey, PA is seeking a Generalist Operations Planner to turn demand into actionable production and materials plans within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will own production schedules, manage MRP parameters, analyze inventory, and collaborate with Operations, Procurement, Logistics and suppliers to optimize service, cost and productivity.

Candidates typically have 3+ years in supply chain or manufacturing, SAP experience, and a Bachelor's, with strong Excel

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in supply chain and/or manufacturing, with planning/scheduling/inventory roles.
Bachelor's degree preferred in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field.
Strong knowledge of supply chain concepts, planning, materials management, and clear communication.

Responsibilities

Develop and communicate detailed production schedules to support master production schedule and long-term planning.
Manage MRP parameters and material requirements to ensure timely purchasing and deliveries; meet inventory objectives.
Analyze inventory performance, capacity, and resource availability; recommend actions to improve flow, service, cost, and productivity.
Maintain bills of material and routing data and support engineering changes.
Own defined planning processes and small projects; track progress and deliver commitments on time.
Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, Logistics, suppliers, and stakeholders to communicate constraints and risks.
