  • Identify improvements to reduce inventory in process and downtime on the shop floor.

Determine and set daily, weekly, and monthly manufacturing schedules for the company’s manufacturing obligations. This role requires superior organization and planning skills as this individual will examine customer orders, available staff and inventory capacity to effectively set and manage production schedules, often for multiple lines at once.

In addition, this individual must be collaborative professional that can lead and monitor manufacturing performance and actively adjust schedules in response to equipment failures or supply shortages. Coordinating and organizing production plans in an efficient manner to reduce inventory in process and downtime on the shop floor.

LOCATION: ERIE, PA

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

REPORTS TO:MANUFACTURING MANAGER

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Release Job Orders and Provide Closeout Analysis.
  • Scheduling – check for capacity issues and provide feedback to planning manager / supervisors.
  • Work with operations on obtaining materials for production and working through delays.
  • Set and maintain min/max levels of inventory for production.
  • Reschedule daily for priorities and expedites to meet customer needs.
  • Help forecast and make recommendations to meet customer requirements.
  • Work with various departments to ensure on time delivery: Production, Engineering, Maintenance, QC, Materials.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and implement changes where deficiencies exist.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required (Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or Similar)
  • 3+ years in a previous manufacturing planning or scheduling position
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
