Job summary

The Hershey Company in Hershey, PA is seeking an Operations Planner Generalist who will translate demand into detailed production schedules, manage material requirements, and help the team meet service, inventory, and cost goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will partner with Operations, Procurement, Logistics and suppliers, use SAP or similar ERP, and bring 3+ years of supply chain/manufacturing planning experience. Bachelor's degree preferred in Logistics or related field.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in supply chain and/or manufacturing, with experience in production planning, scheduling, inventory, or materials management.
• Experience using SAP or a similar ERP system and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• JDA experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate detailed production schedules for assigned operations in support of the master production schedule and longer-term planning strategy.
• Manage MRP parameters and material requirements to support timely purchasing and delivery while meeting inventory objectives.
• Analyze inventory performance, material availability, capacity, and shared resources; recommend actions that improve flow, service, cost, and productivity.
• Maintain accurate bills of material and routing information and support effective execution of engineering changes.
• Own defined planning processes and small projects, track progress, resolve non-routine issues, and deliver commitments on time.
• Partner with Operations, Procurement, Logistics, suppliers, and other stakeholders to communicate constraints, risks, dependencies, and recommended solutions.
