Job description

Glen Raven Logistics is recruiting for an Operations Planner, which will provide Logistics Planning to employees and customers that will maximize productivity and enhance company profitably. Will be expected to give direction and guidance to other Operations Planners. This role includes working 7 straights day ta 12 or more hours per day, followed by 7 scheduled days off duty. Ensure a safe and professional work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently plan all daily logistics needs as assigned
  • Communicate daily with all Glen Raven and Contracted personnel to ensure understanding of assigned tasks
  • Ensure all proper shipping documentation is completed and processed
  • Dispatch in accordance with Federal and Company guidelines regarding operation of commercial motor vehicles
  • Maintain accurate reports and data as needed to provide essential information for Key Performance Indicators
  • Maintain the highest level of safety for all Glen Raven and Contracted personnel
  • Maintain and provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field or equivalent education and related training
  • Three years of previous related experience is required, Five years preferred
  • Problem solving

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
  • Organized and efficient in a fast paced work environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products or related
  • Knowledge of transportation/logistics industry and experience with Department of Transportation (DOT) and Hours of Service compliance preferred
