Center for AI Safety (CAIS) is a leading nonprofit focused on mitigating AI risks. We seek an Operations Associate in San Francisco to own core workflows across office, systems, and people operations. You are a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and aligns with CAIS’s mission.

You will support onboarding, IT provisioning, events, and facilities while proposing smarter processes to scale operations as the organization grows.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities without dropping details.
• Clear, professional communication with staff and cross-team coordination.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate operations and provide team support across offices.
• Support onboarding, off-boarding, events, and policy rollout.
• Triage access requests and manage office provisioning and inventory.
• Assist with facilities coordination, vendor relations, and safety programs.
