Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Background in a cross-functional role spanning people operations, workplace operations, office management, or events.
• A self-starter who can unblock themselves with minimal direction.
• Strong taste and a point of view on office, offsites, or onboarding experiences.
• Comfort owning work across very different domains without dropping details.
• Energized by a fast-moving, high-intensity environment.
• Reaches for AI tools as a default to automate tasks.
• Strong written communication: clear and audience-appropriate.
• Experience handling sensitive employee information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Workplace Operations: own office logistics across SF and NY, from supplies and landlord relations to swag and off-sites.
• People Operations: coordinate recruiting, onboarding, and ramp plans, plus immigration coordination.
• Events: design and run events that build the Cogent brand and maintain a recurring calendar.
• Special Projects: partner with founders on strategic initiatives as they arise.
