Job summary

Hercules Materials Holdings seeks a high-capacity Ready-Mix Operations Manager / Mechanical Engineer to lead multi-plant operations in the Detroit region, Toledo, and Windsor area. You will partner with Area Managers, plant teams, dispatch, maintenance, and executives to boost reliability, efficiency, and equipment performance.

The role emphasizes working near machinery, systems, automation, and AI-enabled improvements, driving practical solutions and employee development across the network.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in ready-mix concrete, construction materials, manufacturing, industrial operations, or related fields.
• Experience leading multi-plant ready-mix or heavy materials operations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and change-management skills.
• Academic background aligned with Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Area Managers and plant leadership to improve plant and fleet performance.
• Advance preventive maintenance and reliability improvements across facilities.
• Lead data-driven improvements using automation, telematics, and AI-enabled tools.
• Support safety, quality, and on-time delivery across the network.
• Mentor and develop frontline supervisors and operators for succession.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic priorities and process improvements.
