Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Manager, Operations & Manufacturing within its Private Equity Performance Improvement practice. The role focuses on helping private equity firms improve operating results of portfolio companies and requires working with C-suite executives.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of professional industry experience, including ≥4 years in manufacturing and/or distribution.
• Deep expertise in Supply Chain Operations and Manufacturing Operations.
• Experience working with C-suite executives and private equity deal partners.
• Strong data analysis, process mapping, and quantitative skills.
• Experience leading change management and communication strategies.
• MBA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gain understanding of target’s manufacturing and distribution operations, including organization design and capacity.
• Evaluate maintainability and operability of production facilities.
• Review data to understand efficiency, capacity, and equipment conditions.
• Provide shop floor insights by engaging employees and customers and reviewing data.
• Identify cost improvement opportunities through lean improvements, outsourcing or facility consolidation.
• Develop transformation plans and identify risks and mitigation strategies.
• Lead and oversee delivery quality and day-to-day team management to ensure performance.
