Alvarez & Marsal’s Private Equity Performance Improvement group seeks a Manager of Operations & Manufacturing to lead and deliver large, complex engagements across manufacturing, supply chain and distribution for PE-backed portfolio companies.

You will work with PE leadership to design transformations, drive cost improvements, and oversee project teams while advancing your career through exposure to international assignments and leadership opportunities.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years of industry experience with at least 4 years in manufacturing/distribution.
• Deep functional expertise in supply chain and manufacturing operations, SI&OP.
• Footprint optimization, plant consolidation and product line transfer.
• Manufacturing strategy, CapEx planning, Manufacturing 4.0/IIoT.
• Lean, Six Sigma, TOC and Value Engineering demonstrated.
• Experience working with C-suite executives and private equity partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver large, complex client engagements with PE leadership.
• Understand target manufacturing and distribution operations: org design, capacity, efficiency, planning, warehousing.
• Evaluate production facilities operability and maintainability.
• Review data on efficiency, capacity, equipment, maintenance, parts, and production numbers.
• Provide shop floor insights from interviews and data review.
• Identify cost improvements via lean, outsourcing, or facility consolidation.
• Develop transformation plans and manage day-to-day client relationships to ensure performance.
