Job summary

GreenWaste is seeking an Operations Manager to provide operational leadership for one or more post‑collection facilities, translating objectives into effective operating systems and ensuring safe, compliant performance under the guidance of the General Manager.

You will manage Supervisors, coordinate with Safety, Maintenance, and cross‑functional partners, and drive performance, regulatory readiness, and cost controls while delivering service excellence at the San Jose facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 5+ years in solid waste, recycling, or related industrial operations.
• Prior management experience required.
• Valid California Driver License and acceptable DMV record.
• Proficiency in English; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and manage Operations Supervisors to ensure safe and effective execution.
• Translate General Manager priorities into operational plans and staffing.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and coverage to meet demands.
• Coordinate with maintenance and vendors for equipment availability and repairs.
• Analyze KPI data to drive data-informed decisions.
