Job summary

Capital Lumber Co. in Tacoma, WA is seeking an exceptional Operations Manager to lead our distribution warehouse. You will oversee warehouse staff, manage receiving, unloading, picking, packing and shipping, and drive efficiency through policy improvements.

The role requires at least 3 years in industrial distribution, strong leadership, safety compliance, and inventory control. Benefits include PTO, holidays, health/dental/vision, 401(k) with match, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years experience managing and supervising in an industrial distribution environment.
• Ability to model company values and provide innovative solutions.
• Collaborative leader with emphasis on quality and detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with branch management to ensure accurate, timely shipping, receiving and processing of material.
• Maintain safety programs, policies and documentation.
• Recruit, train, and evaluate operations personnel.
• Maintain organized inventory and storage layout.
• Develop annual business plan with branch management.
• Adapt to changes and perform other duties as assigned.
