Job summary

Dakota Premium Hardwoods, LLC is seeking a dual-scope Operations Manager to lead both warehouse and delivery logistics in Houston. You’ll own inventory accuracy, order fulfillment speed, staff supervision, and fleet scheduling to ensure on-time service.

You’ll work with Epicor WMS daily (or quickly learn it) and align with purchasing, sales, and management to keep products flowing smoothly. Strong leadership and data-driven decision-making are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years managing warehouse, distribution, or logistics operations.
• Experience managing a delivery fleet and drivers, incl. scheduling and maintenance.
• Supervising 10+ staff across multiple functions (warehouse and drivers).
• Comfort using a warehouse/inventory software system; Epicor is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of DOT and basic fleet maintenance scheduling is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills focused on inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee warehouse operations: receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping.
• Manage inventory accuracy and cycle counts in Epicor WMS.
• Supervise and develop warehouse staff (forklift operators, pickers, clerks).
• Schedule routes, plan deliveries, and ensure on-time performance.
• Coordinate onboarding and training for new hires in systems and procedures.
• Hire and develop warehouse and driver staff.
