Mammoet is hiring an Operations Manager in Rosharon, TX to lead safety-first, efficient operations across crews, equipment and projects. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Engineering, Business or related field is preferred.
• 12+ years of broad and relevant industry experience, ideally in heavy lifting, transport, construction, civil engineering, oil & gas, offshore, ports, mining or related sectors.
• Experience in an operations management or leadership role with responsibility for personnel, equipment, projects and resources.
• Strong understanding of heavy lifting and transportation equipment and operations; knowledge of project and contract management.

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

We are Hiring an Operations Manager in Rosharon, TX!

The Operations Manager is responsible for leading and developing the operations function through effective safety management, operational excellence, resource planning, and people management. This role ensures that operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with Mammoet standards, customer expectations, business plans, and established budgets.

The Operations Manager brings clarity to complex operational situations and establishes practical, organized methods for executing work. This position coordinates personnel, equipment, projects, and other resources while remaining flexible and responsive when priorities or project requirements change.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Key Responsibilities

1. Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHE-Q)

• Promote and lead a strong safety culture, serving as a role model for safe work practices.
• Ensure operational activities comply with Mammoet SHE-Q standards, procedures, and applicable legislation.
• Lead and participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and the communication of safety alerts and relevant information.
• Conduct and support workplace inspections and address identified safety concerns.
• Ensure work is planned and executed safely for employees, customers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

2. Operations Management

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations function to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with customer requirements.
• Develop and implement practical execution plans for projects and operational activities.
• Coordinate the mobilization and demobilization of personnel, and other resources.
• Optimize the utilization of personnel, equipment, and fleet resources.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to planners, supervisors, and other operational personnel.

3. People Management

• Lead, motivate, develop, and support operational field and office employees in accordance with Mammoet policies and procedures.
• Manage local workforce planning to ensure appropriate staffing levels and competencies.
• Ensure competency matrices and qualification requirements are properly applied.
• Ensure employees are appropriately trained and competent for assigned work.
• Support effective handover and knowledge-transfer processes.
• Conduct and/or support performance appraisals and employee development activities.
• Identify talent and development opportunities within the operations organization.
• Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team environment.

4. Business & Year Planning

• Develop departmental workforce plans in collaboration with management.
• Establish schedules for planned operational activities and monitor progress against established objectives.
• Ensure operational priorities support business goals, customer commitments, and financial targets.

5. Project & Contract Management

• Support effective execution of projects in accordance with project requirements, and internal standards.
• Coordinate with project team and internal stakeholders to ensure operational requirements are understood and met.
• Monitor operational performance against established project plans.
• Identify potential operational, contractual, or resource-related issues and develop appropriate solutions.
• Ensure changes in project scope or operational requirements are communicated and addressed appropriately.

6. Cost & Resource Management

• Manage operational costs and investments in an efficient and responsible manner while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Optimize labor
• Review resource requirements and identify opportunities for improved utilization and cost efficiency.

7. Reporting & Business Information

• Provide accurate and timely operational reporting to management.
• Monitor quantitative and qualitative operational performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Ensure management is informed of business-critical issues and developments.
• Prepare periodic and ad-hoc reports to support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Use operational data and reporting to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

8. Administration & Compliance

• Coordinate, execute, maintain, and improve departmental administrative processes and systems.
• Ensure applicable operational documentation is accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with internal requirements.
• Review and approve employee timesheets.
• Ensure activities comply with Mammoet's Operating Model, Authorization Matrix, Business Control Framework, and other applicable company procedures.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Engineering, Business, or another relevant technical discipline preferred.
• Minimum of 12 years of broad and relevant industry experience, preferably within heavy lifting, transportation, construction, civil engineering, oil and gas, offshore, ports, mining, or related industries.
• Demonstrated experience in an operations management or comparable leadership role.
• Experience managing operational personnel, equipment, projects, and resources.
• Strong understanding of HLT (Heavy Lifting & Transportation) equipment and operations.
• Professional-level experience in project management and contract management.
• Professional-level people-management experience.
• Experience with operational planning, resource utilization, fleet management, and equipment coordination.
• Experience working with OPS systems/subsystems and Microsoft Office.
• Fluent proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Mammoet Academy courses, or willingness to complete required training.
