Job summary

Mammoet is seeking an Engineer II in Rosharon, Texas to develop and deliver advanced engineering solutions for heavy lifting and transportation projects. You will prepare and verify method statements, drawings, calculations, risk assessments, and other technical documents to ensure safe project execution, working with Operations, Sales, and Project Management teams.

Ideal candidates bring a Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, 7+ years of experience, fluency in English, and strong

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
  • 7+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Experience with heavy lift and transport equipment and international codes.
  • Experience developing advanced engineering solutions and technical documentation.
  • Fluent English (verbal and written).
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD 2D/3D for modeling and drafting.
  • Experience in civil/construction/renewables/oil & gas sectors.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

Engineer II for Heavy Lift and Transport Projects

As an Engineer II with Mammoet, you will be responsible for developing and delivering advanced engineering solutions for heavy lifting and transport projects by preparing and selecting engineering method statements, drawings, calculations, visualizations, manuals, risk assessments, and other technical documents to ensure safe and efficient project execution. You will work independently, support project execution, and provide technical guidance while collaborating with Operations, Sales, and Project Management teams.


Travel Requirement: 20%



WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING


  • Using your expertise to develop best-in-class engineering solutions for heavy lifting and transportation projects

  • Developing and delivering advanced engineering solutions for heavy lifting and transportation projects.

  • Preparing engineering method statements, drawings, calculations, visualizations, manuals, and risk assessments.

  • Independently selecting and verifying engineering methods and equipment to ensure safe and efficient project execution.

  • Supporting project execution and adapting engineering solutions when project requirements or site conditions change.

  • Advising Operations, Sales, and Project Management on engineering feasibility, technical risks, and optimal solutions.

  • Conducting route surveys and preparing route survey reports when required.

  • Reviewing and maintaining engineering documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, and quality.

  • Providing technical guidance and support to engineers and project stakeholders.

  • Working with both conventional methodologies and innovative approaches to solve customer challenges.



WHAT YOU’LL NEED


  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

  • 7+ years of relevant engineering experience.

  • Professional-level experience in engineering operation practices and systems, heavy lift and transport equipment, and international codes and standards.

  • Experience developing advanced engineering solutions and technical documentation.

  • English, fluent proficiency verbal and written.

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD 2D and 3D modeling, detailing, and drafting.

  • Evidence of experience in a similar role, ideally in any/some of the following sectors: civil engineering, construction, renewables, oil and gas, offshore, ports, and mining.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
