BlueLinx Corporation seeks an Operations Manager to lead daily operations at our Birmingham, AL area branch. You will manage a diverse team, ensure DOT safety compliance, and drive efficiency from inventory to service excellence.

Responsibilities include hiring and coaching, coordinating with internal teams and suppliers, and optimizing logistics and expenses to support strong business outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in distribution/warehouse operations or similar.
• Strong leadership and people-management abilities.
• Proven track record in improving processes and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team including DOT CDL Drivers, Administrative Support, Material Handlers, and Sales Associates within a geographic area.
• Ensure workplace safety and compliance with DOT regulations and laws.
• Drive operational efficiency from inventory management to customer service excellence.
• Foster collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, and customers for seamless deliveries.
• Lead hiring, coaching, and performance management to build a high-performing team.
• Manage expenses, logistics, and workforce planning for optimal productivity.
