Job summary

BlueLinx is seeking an Operations Manager in Birmingham to lead daily branch operations and drive efficiency across departments. You will oversee DOT CDL Drivers, Administrative Support, Material Handlers, and Sales Associates, ensuring safety, compliance, and timely delivery of products.

You will mentor and coach team members, manage budgets and logistics, and partner with internal and external stakeholders to optimize performance.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in distribution/warehouse operations.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Strong leadership and goal-setting abilities.
Expertise in process improvement and efficiency optimization.
Customer-centric mindset with focus on timely, safe order fulfillment.

Responsibilities

Oversee a team including DOT CDL Drivers, Administrative Support, Material Handlers, and Sales Associates.
Ensure workplace safety and compliance with DOT regulations and local laws.
Drive operational efficiency from inventory to customer service excellence.
Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers for seamless delivery.
