Insulation Commandos is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for our Knoxville, TN operation. The role combines hands-on field leadership with daily operations, seizing opportunities to improve efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Learn the insulation installation process and be willing to work alongside and lead crews when necessary.
• Develop the ability to serve as a Crew Chief and oversee jobs from start to finish.
• Meet with homeowners and customers, evaluate their needs, explain solutions, and assist with estimates and sales.
• Follow up with customers and help convert opportunities into scheduled projects.
• Monitor job quality and ensure work meets company standards.
• Troubleshoot issues in the field and find practical solutions quickly.
• Assist with recruiting, training, and developing team members as the business grows.
• Help manage inventory, equipment, vehicles, and materials.
• Maintain accurate job documentation and communication.
• Work closely with ownership to improve processes, increase efficiency, grow revenue, and build the Knoxville operation.

Insulation Commandos of Knoxville is looking for an experienced, highly motivated Operations Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and is excited about helping build and grow a business.

This is not a traditional desk-only management position. We are looking for someone who is comfortable wearing multiple hats, jumping in wherever needed, and taking ownership of the day-to-day operation. The ideal candidate will bring several years of operations, management, construction, home services, or related experience and have the leadership skills and drive to grow into a key member of our organization.

What You'll Do

As Operations Manager, you will initially focus on learning our business, managing daily operations, coordinating crews and jobs, delivering an excellent customer experience, and helping ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and professionally.

Over the first six months, our goal is for you to develop a strong understanding of all aspects of the business and become capable of stepping into multiple roles when needed - operations management, crew leadership, field support, customer service, and sales.

Within approximately six months, the successful candidate should be capable of functioning as a true right hand to ownership - someone who understands the operation from the ground up and can confidently manage crews, oversee projects, interact with customers, assist with sales, solve problems, and step into the field when necessary.
