Ferguson Enterprises, LLC is seeking an Inbound Operations Manager for the Market Distribution Center in Upper Marlboro, MD. You will lead all aspects of the 360,000 square foot facility with 85 hourly associates, driving efficiency, inventory control, and safety while partnering with cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes process improvement, KPI tracking, cost-saving initiatives, and developing Department Managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• “5+ years’ management experience in a Distribution Center/Fulfillment Center” required.
• “5+ years handling inventory/operational tasks.”
• “Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience.”
• “OSHA and DOT regulations awareness.”
• “Proficient in Microsoft O365 applications.”

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational functions of the distribution center.
• Lead other projects as directed by the General Manager.
• Develop and mentor Department Managers.
• Maintain open communication with corporate, branch, and distribution personnel.
• Review procedures and KPIs to identify improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure KPI adherence and monthly departmental goal progress.
• Communicate corrective actions for issues in a timely manner.
• Drive safety, quality, and profitability to meet company objectives.
• Collaborate across departments to improve operational results.
• Manage inventory control within the warehouse.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the operational functions of the Distribution Center
• Lead other projects as directed by the General Manager
• Responsible for developing Department Managers
• Establish and maintain open lines of communication with all corporate associates, branch personnel and distribution associates
• Continuous review, evaluation, and audit of operational procedures and performance KPIs with the purpose of identifying areas for improvement or developing potential cost saving projects
• Build upon Departmental Goals monthly and ensure adherence to established KPIs
• Communicate, in a timely manner, steps taken to correct problems or ongoing issues
• Champion the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of organizational management protocols, practices, and tools
• Drive safety, quality, and profitability to meet or exceed company objectives
• Act as a strategic partner on the leadership team and liaison among different departments to improve operation results
• Ensure warehouse operation is led with efficiency and success
• Manage inventory control in our warehouse

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, equivalent experience will be considered
• 5+ years' management experience in a Distribution Center / Fulfillment Center environment required
• 5+ years handling inventory / operational tasks
• Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience
• Ability to adapt and change processes to keep pace with the evolving business requirements
• Outstanding organizational and leadership skills to reliably respond to urgent situations
• Must be process oriented with good judgment and decision-making abilities
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability and desire to lead a team
• A confirmed understanding of OSHA and DOT regulations
• Proficient technical skills included but not limited to Microsoft O365 applications

Pay Range:

• $4,743.90 - $12,966.80
• Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles
• This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible
• Ferguson complies with all wage regulations
• The starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements
