Blue Signal Search is seeking an Operations Manager for an established fire and life safety services organization. Lead cross-functional teams and turn complex operations into scalable processes that drive measurable results across estimating, scheduling, field service, inspections, projects, billing, and customer follow-up.

• Strong working knowledge of the commercial fire protection industry and applicable compliance requirements.
• Experience in operations leadership within fire protection and full-service providers.
• Ability to connect estimating, scheduling, inspections, service, projects, billing and customer support across the business.
• Proven track record developing, implementing, and improving procedures, workflows, and performance measures.

Responsibilities

• Turn operational complexity into a scalable, accountable service organization by partnering with leaders across the business.
• Guide department leaders in translating company priorities into clear operating plans and measurable outcomes.
• Review end-to-end work handoffs across estimating, scheduling, field service, inspections, projects, billing, and customer follow-up.
• Build practical operating procedures and controls that create consistency without slowing down field execution or customer responsiveness.
• Track departmental results against revenue and operating targets, and remove barriers to improve performance.
• Use business systems, reporting, and workflow automation to reduce duplicate effort, strengthen communication, and improve visibility.
• Create clear expectations, measurable goals, and follow-through mechanisms that reinforce ownership across teams.
• Support company-wide improvement initiatives that strengthen service quality, productivity, profitability, and readiness for growth.

Skill Set

• Working knowledge of how estimating, scheduling, inspections, service, projects, billing, and customer support connect across the business.
• Proven success developing, implementing, and improving procedures, workflows, performance measures, and accountability systems.
• Ability to use operational and financial performance information to identify obstacles, prioritize action, and support revenue goals.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with department leaders, field teams, office personnel, and senior management.
• Comfort working across multiple business software platforms and using technology to simplify processes and improve execution.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and drive initiatives through completion.
