Job summary

DHL eCommerce in Salt Lake City is seeking an Operations Manager to run the major functions of the distribution center during the shift and support the ongoing development of the DHL eCommerce business plan.

You will lead Supervisors and hourly staff, monitor production and quality, coordinate transportation, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while driving cost-effective operations and staff development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Management or related field is preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory/management experience required.
• Experience with MS Office and strong Excel skills.
• Lean experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage production, quality processes and transportation in line with DHL policies to achieve profitability.
• Lead and coach Operations Supervisors and hourly staff.
• Conduct and ensure timely performance evaluations.
• Maintain high staff morale and retention; communicate via formal/informal meetings.
• Establish weekly operations plans to handle customer volume promptly.
• Identify measures to improve production methods and efficiency.
• Coordinate and understand local and regional transportation operations.
• Ensure safety/compliance for equipment; oversee OSHA logs and safety programs.
