Job summary

LHH in Washington, DC seeks a Temporary Executive Operations Manager to provide hands-on operational, administrative, and executive support in a fast-paced office environment.

This role requires a highly organized, proactive professional who can manage competing priorities, support senior leadership, and ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly. The position is a temporary assignment through January 2027 with in-office work five days a week.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 3–5 years in office admin/operations or related work.
  • 1–3 years supporting executive or leadership scheduling.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and track employee performance review timelines, follow up on outstanding items, and ensure questions are addressed or escalated.
  • Assist with employee communications and benefits open enrollment logistics, reminders, sessions, and directing employees to resources.
  • Gather and organize agenda items and materials for recurring executive, leadership, and organization-wide meetings.
  • Support special operational initiatives, events, retreats, and organizational gatherings from planning through execution.
  • Provide hands-on meeting and conference support, including room reservations, audiovisual setup, catering, materials, and visitor coordination.
  • Manage executive and leadership calendars, respond to shifting priorities, scheduling conflicts, and last-minute changes.
  • Maintain organized digital records and ensure documents are properly filed and up to date.
  • Provide backup administrative support for office operations, including mail, supplies, phone coverage, visitors, and general workplace needs.
  • Help foster an organized, welcoming, and professional workplace environment.
  • Assist with additional administrative, operational, and executive projects as organizational needs evolve.

Job description

mission-driven organization in Washington, DC is seeking a Temporary Executive Operations Manager to provide hands-on operational, administrative, and executive support in a fast-paced office environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, proactive professional who enjoys managing competing priorities, supporting senior leadership and staff, and ensuring day-to-day operations run efficiently.

The Executive Operations Manager will serve as a key resource for executive scheduling, office operations, HR coordination, meeting logistics, and special projects. The ideal candidate is resourceful, adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable stepping in wherever support is needed. This individual should be able to work independently while partnering closely with leadership and employees across the organization.

Compensation: $32–$38 per hour

Schedule: Full-time, approximately 30–40 hours per week

Location: Washington, DC. Regular in-office presence is expected 5 days a week

Duration: Temporary assignment from ASAP through January 2027

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 3–5 years of experience in office administration, operations, executive support, HR coordination, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience supporting executive or leadership scheduling.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common workplace collaboration tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Zoom, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Familiarity with HR, CRM, document management, or other business systems is a plus.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
