This is a hands‑on leadership role with a broad scope. You’ll oversee key operational functions while working across the organization to strengthen processes, manage risk, support compliance, resolve complex issues, and make sure our employees have the tools and support they need to deliver a great member experience. From deposit operations and BSA/fraud support to facilities, security, legal requests, and vendor relationships, no two days will look quite the same.
If you’re someone who sees the big picture but isn’t afraid to jump into the details, this could be a great opportunity for you.
What You’ll Do
As our Operations Manager, you’ll provide leadership and oversight across several important areas of the Credit Union. Responsibilities will include:
- Lead and oversee Credit Union operations, monitoring service quality, operational performance, compliance, and risk while resolving issues and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee specialized deposit operations, including account ownership documentation, estates and trusts, legal requests, subpoenas, levies, and other regulatory or legal processing requirements.
- Support BSA/AML and fraud operations, providing management oversight and backup support for workflow, fraud alerts and cases, business account documentation, reporting, staff questions, and related processes.
- Manage our facilities and vendor relationships, coordinating maintenance and repairs, overseeing service providers and contracts, reviewing invoices and renewals, and ensuring projects and required inspections are completed.
- Help keep our locations safe and secure by overseeing physical security systems, cameras, alarms, access controls and badges, and coordinating with security vendors, law enforcement, fire departments, and employees as needed.
- Stay on top of regulatory requirements affecting deposit and related financial services, including Regulations B, D, E, Z, CC, and DD.
- Lead and develop employees through coaching, training, scheduling, feedback, performance management, and thoughtful allocation of resources.
- Identify opportunities to make things better by continually evaluating processes, systems, controls, staffing, and service delivery for greater efficiency, accuracy, compliance, and member experience.
- Work collaboratively with leaders across the organization and contribute to the overall management and strategic direction of the Credit Union.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who brings a strong combination of operational knowledge, leadership, sound judgment, and problem-solving ability.
Ideally, you’ll have:
- 5–8 years of similar or related experience
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent formal industry certifications
- Strong knowledge of financial institution operations and deposit services
- An in-depth understanding of regulations affecting deposit programs, including Regulations B, D, E, Z, CC, and DD
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to coach, develop, and hold employees accountable
- The ability to identify risk, evaluate operational issues, and develop practical solutions
- Strong technology skills and the ability to learn and work effectively within multiple systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The diplomacy, discretion, and judgment necessary to handle confidential or sensitive situations
- The ability to build relationships and work effectively with employees, leaders, vendors, attorneys, law enforcement, regulators, and other external partners
Compensation $101,500 - $106,000 annual salary
