Mary Rush Care Ltd seeks an experienced Operations Manager to lead our route, event, and disaster operations in Sanford, FL. You will manage drivers, yard staff, and dispatch, ensuring schedules, payroll, and safety compliance run smoothly.

This is a leadership-first role focused on proactive planning, driving route efficiency, and continuous improvement. Weekend and after-hours availability is required; travel to remote events and sites may be necessary.

Responsibilities

• Manage drivers, yard team, supervisors, driver monitoring manager and dispatch: training, coaching, and developing drivers and yard personnel.
• Handle driver hours and payroll.
• Oversee dispatcher on routes and scheduling, and cover routes yourself as needed.
• Drive route efficiency and reduce avoidable overtime.
• Oversee fleet maintenance, repair oversight, and equipment readiness.
• Manage team performance through KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Purchase materials and plan inventory.
• Own safety (OSHA, DOT, and HOS monitoring) and respond to safety incidents.
• Oversee yard upkeep, services, and organization.

We’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead the team behind our route, event, and disaster operations. You’ll be the person who keeps drivers, equipment, and schedules running smoothly (and the one your team looks to when something needs to get resolved fast).

The most important part of this job is staying a step ahead. You're planning next week while everyone else is handling today, so nothing tomorrow catches you off guard.

This is a leadership-first role. You'll build and run our driver team - training, coaching, and holding people to our standard. You'll know their hours and handle their payroll. You'll be firm when the moment calls for it, and the people who've worked for you would say you made them better.

What you'll do:

Manage our drivers, yard team, supervisors, driver monitoring manager and dispatch: training, coaching, and developing drivers and yard personnel. You’ll build people up & train them properly so they can advance and grow

Handle driver hours and payroll

Oversee our dispatcher on routes and scheduling, and cover routes/scheduling yourself as needed

Drive route efficiency and reduce avoidable overtime

Oversee fleet maintenance, repair oversight, and equipment readiness

Manage your team’s performance through KPIs and drive continuous improvement.

Purchase materials and plan inventory

You’ll own safety, including OSHA, DOT compliance, and HOS monitoring. You’ll be the first responder for safety incidents, road accidents and equipment emergencies

Oversee yard upkeep, services, and overall organization

What you bring:
