Qualifications

• A minimum of 3-4 years distribution management experience (Inbound/Outbound).
• Proven track record of mentoring and developing supervisors.
• Experience with safety management in a distribution environment.
• Inventory control knowledge and accuracy focus.
• Analytical reporting skills to drive performance.
• Knowledge of WMS systems and labor management tooling.
• Knowledge of 5S and continuous improvement practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage timely and accurate processing of customer orders (picking, packing, shipping).
• Enforce warehousing and shipping requirements across regulatory and internal standards.
• Safeguard warehouse operations through security procedures.
• Oversee outbound inventory organization and availability.
• Plan layouts, inspect equipment, and manage repair/replacements.
• Schedule and assign staff; monitor work results and productivity.
• Coach and develop warehouse staff; manage performance.
• Foster strong internal/external customer relationships and teamwork.
• Lead change initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
• Produce analytical reports to monitor KPIs and trends.

Summary

The Operations Manager provides leadership, management, and effective communication to both customers and co-owners, while meeting operational and financial goals. The successful person will be able to drive operational performance at the site level, focusing on productivity, quality, and cost metrics. They will do this while maintaining the receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations with the established policies, practices and procedures during assigned shift Those same policies and procedures need to be reviewed from a continuous improvement lens – and the Operations Manager should champion any improvements. Responsibilities

• Managing the timely and accurate processing of customer orders, including picking, packing, and shipping.
• Complies with federal, state and local warehousing, material handling and shipping requirements by enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
• Safeguards warehouse operation and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
• Oversee the organization and maintenance of outbound inventory, ensuring accuracy and availability.
• Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
• Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
• Manages warehouse staff by coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results.
• Ability to interact and build strong relationships with internal and external customers.
• Excellent organizing, prioritizing, multi-tasking, product management and problem-solving skills with a strong sense of urgency.
• Analytical reporting skills
• Ability to effectively manage changing and sometimes spiking volumes.
• Ability to meet strict time frames in environments with zero tolerance for failure.

Required Qualifications
