Job Title: Operations Manager (Part Time to Full Time)
Top PR firm headquartered in NYC is seeking an Operations Manager to join their team. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fun, friendly, and fast-paced public relations environment, with creative projects and impactful results.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services (HR, IT, Finance) for the PR agency, enhancing each function and ensuring smooth communication between support and business units.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies, and practices.
- Oversee departments including HR, Sales, and Accounting.
- Collaborate directly with HR on policies and procedures.
- Manage overall financial planning, systems, and controls.
- Participate in company restructuring and execution.
- Communicate regularly with shareholders, employees, the CEO, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate with building management on office leasing and IT issues.
- Provide consulting on fundraising, tax, insurance, and business growth matters.
- Assign teams and set up new projects.
- Ensure seamless operations across all PR agency offices in the U.S.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Improve operational systems, processes, and policies to support organizational mission and enhance management reporting and organizational planning.
- Manage and increase the effectiveness of Support Services through improvements and coordination.
- Play a key role in long-term planning and operational excellence initiatives.
- Oversee financial management, growth planning, and controls.
- Handle payroll, employee benefits, and fiscal document organization.
- Conduct regular fiscal meetings with the CEO.
- Supervise and coach operations team members, including office managers, HR, Sales, and Accounting, on a bi-weekly basis.
Financial Management:
- Lead annual budgeting and planning with the ED.
- Develop and oversee the organization's budget.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Assist in cash flow management and insurance review.
- Coordinate with external vendors and ensure timely communication of accounting requests.
- Develop long-term financial forecasts and maintain financial systems.
Organizational Effectiveness & Leadership:
- Manage organizational functions and drive initiatives toward operational excellence.
- Participate in strategic planning as a management team member.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in operations, HR, and financial management.
