Role Description

We are seeking a highly organized, hands-on Operations Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be the day-to-day owner of fulfillment performance and inventory health: managing our 3PL relationships, keeping inventory accurate and stock flowing from our fulfillment partners to customers across DTC, Amazon, and retail, and turning messy data into clear Excel models that drive purchasing and planning decisions. This is a hands-on role for someone who is as comfortable on a warehouse floor as in a 20-tab workbook.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Fulfillment Center Oversight - Own the relationship with our 3PL fulfillment partner(s): weekly business reviews, SLA tracking, and issue escalation and resolution
  
  
  
  • Monitor KPIs including order accuracy, ship-on-time rate, and dock-to-stock time
  
  
  • Coordinate inbound receiving, outbound retail shipments (including routing guides and compliance requirements for retail partners), and returns processing
  
  
  
  


• 
  Inventory Management - Maintain accurate inventory across all locations and channels
  
  
  
  • Run cycle counts and reconcile inventory between systems
  
  
  • Track lot codes, expiration dates, and FIFO/FEFO rotation; manage aged, short-dated, and slow-moving stock
  
  
  • Monitor weeks of supply, stockout risk, and overstock exposure; flag issues early to leadership
  
  
  • Partner with suppliers and co-manufacturers on production timing and inbound freight
  
  
  
  


• 
  Excel Modeling & Reporting - Own the operations reporting stack, including weekly inventory position and fulfillment KPIs
  
  
  
  • Clean, merge, and analyze large data sets
  
  
  • Translate analysis into clear recommendations
  
  
  
  


• 
  Cross-Functional Partnership - Work with Marketing and E-commerce on launch and promotion inventory needs
  
  
  
  • Support Finance with month-end inventory valuation
  
  
  • Document SOPs and continuously improve operational processes
  
  
  
  


• 
  Quarterly travel to fulfillment sites
  

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of experience in operations, supply chain, or inventory management, ideally at a CPG, DTC, or e-commerce brand


• Direct experience managing third-party fulfillment centers (3PLs) and their performance


• Advanced Excel skills: XLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS, pivot tables, nested logic, data cleaning, and building multi-tab models from scratch; Power Query is a strong plus


• Hands-on experience with inventory reconciliation, cycle counts, and demand forecasting


• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning outcomes with limited oversight


• Able to commute within the NYC/tri-state area and visit fulfillment sites as needed


• Preferred - Experience with omnichannel fulfillment


• Familiarity with inventory or ERP tools such as NetSuite, Cin7, Linnworks, or similar


• Experience with lot-controlled or date-sensitive products


• Experience in a high-growth or startup environment
