Pay Range
$20.99 - $40.41
Purpose
This position is responsible for all aspects of store operations, including providing an exceptional shopping experience to every customer through established company guidelines concerning sales, customer service, and associate education. Ensures the store is a safe workplace and provides a safe shopping experience while maximizing company profitability by managing store operations.
Major Responsibilities
- Operations management, including reviewing profit and loss statements to identify areas for improvement
- Utilize computer and point of sale systems for inventory management and cycle counts
- Maintain inventory integrity through supervision of cycle counts and inventory processes
- Assist the General Manager with HR issues and loss prevention
- Supervise cash handling practices and communicate with the finance department
- Coordinate facility management for safety and security
- Help stay within budget and drive profitability
- Ensure brand and operating standards are met or exceeded
- Maintain store presentation standards
Customer Service
- Support and model excellent customer service
- Engage customers during pickup and checkout
- Handle claims and duties as MOD
- Ensure adequate staffing during peak times
- Interface with corporate headquarters
Administrative
- Record and report inventory, HR, and cash records
- Manage web orders and shipments
- Assist with operational budgets and merchandising resets
- Maintain OSHA logs and manage W/C matters
Warehouse/Logistics
- Supervise truck scheduling and logistics
- Assist with customer pickups and storage audits
- Participate in sales resets with warehouse team
Management
- Review and assess associate performance
- Train and develop staff
- Ensure adherence to policies and procedures
- Manage direct reports and address performance issues
- Support scheduling, hiring, and payroll processes
- Be available to open/close the store as needed
- Perform other managerial duties as necessary
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
- 3-5 years retail management experience
- Ability to manage high-volume, complex locations
- Proactive, self-starting attitude
- Proficiency in recruiting, hiring, and training
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to exercise discretion and adapt quickly
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work under pressure
Working Conditions
- Occasional travel, including air and car
- Exposure to warehouse environment and moving vehicles; noise level varies
Physical/Sensory Requirements
- Lift and move objects weighing up to 60 pounds
- Frequent use of hands and fingers, standing, walking, reaching, climbing, and stooping
