Job summary

SkyWater is partnering with an established consumer goods company to hire an Operations Manager for their growing team in the Minneapolis area. This is a newly created role reporting to the President and sitting on the leadership team, with responsibility for manufacturing processes, scheduling, inventory, and overall operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field.
• 7+ years in operations, manufacturing, or production leadership.
• 3+ years managing teams or leading direct reports.
• Experience in a manufacturing, wholesale, or consumer products environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing operations and drive process improvements.
• Oversee scheduling, quality, and production.
• Manage inventory, order fulfillment, and warehouse/shipping operations.
• Sit on the leadership team and partner with the President on strategic initiatives.

This is a newly created role with real scope and authority, reporting directly to the President and sitting on the company leadership team. Our client has a strong customer base and they’ve been recognized within their industry for both product quality and service. The Operations Manager will oversee a small team (5 direct reports + 12 indirect) while working on manufacturing process improvements, overseeing scheduling, creating efficiencies, overseeing inventory and improving the overall operations of the business. Responsibilities

• Lead the manufacturing operations and make process improvements & find efficiencies.
• Oversee scheduling, quality, and production.
• Manage inventory & order fulfillment including inventory accuracy, order processing, and warehouse & shipping operations.
• Sit on the company leadership team while working closely with the company President on strategic initiatives.
• Coach and develop the operations team while leading with a hands-on & humble approach to leadership.
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste, standardize workflows, and drive process improvements.
• Translate day-to-day operational decisions into better outcomes for customers and the business.

Desired Skills And Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
