Job summary

Connect Search, LLC is seeking an Operations Manager for Oil & Gas / Midstream in Midland, TX. This hands-on leadership role oversees crews, contractors, schedules, safety, and costs at the worksite, with accountability for deliverables and compliance.

You will lead foremen and contract teams, manage budgets, support tie-ins, commissioning, and start-up, and ensure regulatory adherence. A strong background in field operations and contractor management is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of oil & gas, midstream, or major-hazard operations experience.
• 3+ years supervising field crews and/or contractors.
• Experience owning construction or operational scopes from planning through turnover.
• Strong contractor management, budget ownership, and cost-control experience.
• Working knowledge of ASME B31.8, DOT/PHMSA, and OSHA.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, contractors, and executive leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred, but not required.

• Lead pre-job safety meetings and reinforce Stop-Work Authority.

• Manage operating budgets, cost tracking, daily reporting, and invoicing controls.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and permitting requirements.
• Apply Management of Change (MOC) to scope, procedure, and material changes.
