Targeted Salary Range: $50,240-$54,000

Brief Statement of Duties
Plan, order, receive, schedule,assign and assist in the management of production and serving offood and/or beverages and other responsibilities of a large-volumefood service operation and catering. Ensure that establishedUniversity and/or Department policies and procedures are maintainedand high-quality customer service is delivered.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education
Associate's Degree
Required Specialized Training/Certifications
- Valid driver'slicense (required for 12-month positions).
- Food Service Sanitation Certification (ServSafe) or the ability toobtain within six months the start of employment.
Required Minimum Work Experience
- Bachelor's Degree with twoyears' experience in a quantity food service production OR anAssociate Degree with four years' experience in a quantity foodservice production.
- Two years' work experience in kitchen-related purchasing, inventorycontrol, cost control and forecasting.
- Two years' experience in a leadership/supervisory role.
- Experience with computerized menu management systems and knowledgeof office and industry software applications, including wordprocessing, spreadsheets, database management, e-mail and web-basedapplications.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties
- Knowledge of catering, restaurant service etiquette and buffetdecorating.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved inplanning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadershiptechniques, production methods and coordination of people andresources.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer andpersonal services which includes needs assessment, qualitystandards and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Time management skills.
- Ability to teach others how to do something.
- Ability to assess performance of self, others and the situation forimprovements or corrective action.
- Service orientation abilities, e.g., actively looking for ways tohelp people.
- Ability to effectively respond to a high-pressure environmentand/or unpredictable outcomes.
- Ability to work flexible and demanding hours for Dining Servicescustomers.
- Ability to complete "Licensed Franchise Training Modules" andmaintain confidentiality according to the Starbucks' Master LicenseAgreement.
- Actively work on the floor to ensure smooth service, stepping intofrontline roles (cooking, serving, or expediting) as operationalvolume demands.
Additional Desirable Qualifications
- CBORD Menu Management System experience.
- Training experience.
- Experience working with college students.
- Purchasing experience.
