Daily Operations Leader
The Daily Operations Leader will oversee the daily operations at both Starbucks locations. The Daily Operations Leader spends most of their time on the store floor providing guidance and directions to staff to uphold Starbucks and Campus Dining standards for excellence in service.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, direct, train, support, and assist all FSW I and student employees. Oversee daily operations in a fast-paced Starbucks environment. Responsible for execution of training program in collaboration with Brand Standards Leader.
- Maintain detailed records in Daily Records Book including coffee/espresso tastings, daily cleaning tasks, product outages, and any other information as directed by Brand Standards Leader or District Manager.
- Ensure all-day product availability by directing, facilitating, or executing the daily sandwich pull, pastry pull, and preparation of back up products. Detailed records of sandwich pulls, and pastry pulls will be properly maintained and adjusted to meet shifting customer demands and ensure product availability.
- Ensure that orders through the Starbucks Market are placed on time and in the appropriate amounts based on established PAR levels. Communicate with Brand Standards leader with any observed delivery issues to ensure that we receive quality products. May assist with ordering duties with both Starbucks locations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment by accomplishing or facilitating daily, weekly, and quarterly cleaning tasks.
- Maintain organized storage areas at each location. Ensure prompt and safe storage of all products delivered by vendors. Monitor deliveries for issues and communicate any issues with Assistant Manager and Brand Standards Leader.
- Assist the department in reaching its goals. Ensure all staff are following department guidelines in collaboration with Assistant Manager, Brand Standards Leader, and District Manager.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Manager, Brand Standards Leader and District Manager to address the changes needed as they are identified.
- Ensure all customer needs are met by providing prompt and courteous service. Execute service recovery as needed by taking appropriate actions to elevate customer experience. Actively works to improve customer connect scores.
- Review weekly store communications and updates from the Starbucks website (LSStar). Sets aside time to meet weekly with Brand Standards Leader to discuss updates and progress on assignments.
- Ensure that seasonal launches are executed to Starbucks standard and that stores are organized according to Sirens Eye in collaboration with Brand Standards Leader.
- Follow all verbal and written instructions from supervisors. Perform any other tasks as assigned.
- Assist with scheduling and staffing needs for both Starbucks locations. Update and submit unit needs sheets. Enter and update schedules in SubItUp or other scheduling systems.
Shift
Normal scheduled hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm with occasional evenings and weekends.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired.

- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
- ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Ability to grasp and lift objects up to 50# from the floor to shoulder height.
- Obtain Starbucks certification as Barista Basics, Daily Operator, and Barista Trainer within 2 months of hire.
- Obtain Starbucks Store Manager Certification within 6 months of hire.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $22.00 - $24.50. Grade: GGS-8. University Title: Retail Sales Assistant Manager.
