Job summary

Treasure Island Hotel & Casino is seeking an experienced manager for a high-volume, self-serve/grab-and-go restaurant.

Responsibilities include staffing, training, cost analysis, and staff development, with a focus on guest satisfaction and policy adherence. Strong English communication and computer skills are required; marketing experience and menu knowledge testing are a plus. This on-site role reports to the Food & Beverage leadership.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-years’ experience managing a high-volume self-serve/grab-and-go restaurant.
  • Proficient English communication, both written and spoken.
  • Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and Access.
  • Minimum 2-years of creative, proven marketing experience; portfolio may be requested.
  • Mandatory testing on restaurant menu knowledge will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor service levels in the department and adjust staffing levels as needed.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained.
  • Maintain guest satisfaction by interacting and meeting guest expectations.
  • Supervise and mentor staff, including hiring, scheduling and coaching.
  • Train employees on service steps and standards; lead pre-shift and training meetings.
  • Prepare daily reports, financial analyses, and department documentation.
  • Create weekly schedules and run shifts to cover days off; manage payroll/Kronos.

Job description

Specific Job Functions
  • Monitor service levels in the department and adjust staffing levels as needed
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by interacting and making sure the guest expectations have been achieved
  • Maintain a friendly, courteous and professional relationship with all guests, employees and Vendors. (Licensed Store Partners)
  • Communicate via e-mail in a professional manner and follow computer use guidelines
  • Communicate all departmental needs to the Assistant Director and Director of Food and Beverage
  • Complete paperwork, daily reports, menu analysis, cost analysis, monthly Profit and Loss statements and all other necessary financial analysis for the department.
  • Manage and lead staff including hiring, scheduling, employee counseling and commendations
  • Train employees on steps of service, sequence of service and hold them accountable to the standards.
  • Conduct upbeat daily pre-shift meetings and regular staff training meetings
  • Ensure all employees have the necessary permits before clock in
  • Ensure all employees meet established uniform standards.
  • Oversee orders and maintain par levels of inventory for each self-service outlet
  • Manage, monitor and mentor staff to ensure they are following proper policies and procedures
  • Actively Supervise all department outlets by ensuring areas of the department are constantly maintained for cleanliness
  • Ensure daily operational tasks are performed and completed
  • Maintain company and departmental health and safety standards
  • Ensure necessary tools are provided to staff as needed
  • Ensure departmental and company policies are followed
  • Achieve service, financial, and human resource goals set forth by senior management.
  • Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department
  • Conduct Quarterly Starbucks Promotional Launch Meeting with Assistant Managers and Cindy Ferris.
  • Execute Starbucks Quarterly Promotion drink preparation training.
  • Execute all Starbuck Promotions in compliance with Starbucks Standards and on time
  • Coordinate with other departments and assist with guest needs

  • Mentor and develop direct management team
  • Coordinate with other departments and assist with guest needs
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5-years’ experience managing a high-volume self-serve/ grab and go restaurants
  • Communicate effectively in English both verbally and written forms
  • Must possess basic computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and Access
  • Minimum 2- years of creative, proven marketing experience. (Ability to provide marketing portfolio upon request)
  • Mandatory testing on restaurant menu knowledge (Information will be provided)
