Job Description

Position: Operations Manager

Location: Kankakee, IL

Community Health Partnership of Illinois is a non-profit organization that provides primary health care to migrant farmworkers and other medically underserved populations throughout northern and central Illinois. We specialize in primary preventative medical, dental, and behavioral health services. Our focus is delivering quality, culturally responsive health care services to our patients, caregivers, and partners in the communities we serve.

The Operations Manager (OM) oversees business and patient services operations for multiple Community Health Partnership of Illinois (CHP) satellite health center sites. The OM is responsible for overall growth, financial well-being, development, and quality of services for patients, working in collaboration with the VP of Operations, Nursing Director, and other key Executive Staff. The OM is a key member of the Leadership Team, with responsibilities for managing labor, productivity, quality control, customer service, and safety measures across the health centers. The OM oversees, directs, and supports clinical and administrative leaders to ensure performance targets for medical, dental, and behavioral health are met, patient schedules are efficient, and access and customer service goals are achieved.

The OM will monitor site staff work schedules, ensure adequate staffing, implement proper administrative workflows, manage business processes, supplies, and inventory, and develop effective information flow, goals, and objectives.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the entire facility operations from opening to closure, responds to emergency calls, manages operational hours and days, and ensures accurate posting for all assigned sites.
  • Responsible for appropriate specialty scheduling to achieve patient and provider productivity success.
  • Researches and guides the development team regarding the demographic of patient populations for recruitment and utilization of sites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in healthcare administration or a related field from an accredited institution. Master's degree highly desirable.
  • Three years of supervisory/management experience.
  • Bilingual (Spanish-English) highly desirable.
  • Excellent skills in managing people and programs concurrently.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Leadership, conflict management, decision-making, people management, data entry skills.
  • Data processing skills, dependability, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication skills.
  • Persuasiveness.
