I. Job Summary

This role is responsible for onboarding, developing, coaching, mentoring, and performance management of all drivers and helpers. Establishes and maintains positive relationships with all front-line employees. Spends the majority of the day in the field with frontline employees.

• Onboarding: Ensuring new frontline employees have tools, instruction, and feedback for successful daily duties. Meet with new frontline employees daily to ensure consistent communication and support of onboarding.
• Developing: Provide timely and consistent touchpoints with frontline employees. Review best practices to enhance daily performance. Focus on understanding and progress of frontline employee career goals.
• Coaching: Identify and address improvement opportunities. Collaborate with frontline employees to ensure continued success. Practice and seek feedback on coaching conversations. Lead by example to ensure safety practices and teach the WM Way.
• Performance Management: Conduct root cause investigations for injuries and incidents, ensure consistent discipline and retraining. Maintain records required by regulatory agencies. Review and audit documentation related to route operations daily. Visit customers to evaluate and resolve safety issues.

II. Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or High School Diploma with two years of relevant experience.
• Successful completion of the WM Route Manager Trainee program.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work.
• Valid Driver's License.
