Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for warehouse, distribution, packaging, and transportation activities.
• Establish operational priorities and align daily execution with customer expectations.
• Evaluate performance and develop short- and long-term operational plans.
• Maintain staffing levels based on volume and requirements.
• Lead, coach, and develop teams to achieve high performance.
• Monitor productivity and quality, address gaps, and implement corrective actions.
• Own budgets and P&L, identify efficiency opportunities, and report metrics.
• Build relationships with customers and ensure service levels are met.
• Promote safety and maintain compliant, well-organized operations.

Salary Range: $85,000–$92,000 + Performance Bonus

Travel: Approximately 10%

The Opportunity

A well-established organization within the supply chain and logistics industry is confidentially seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee a fast-paced operation in the Colorado Springs area.

This position is ideal for a hands‑on leader who can effectively balance operational performance, financial results, employee development, and customer expectations. The Operations Manager will have significant ownership of the operation and will be expected to identify opportunities, solve problems, and continuously raise the standard of performance.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Operational Leadership

• Provide leadership and direction for warehouse, distribution, packaging, and transportation activities.
• Establish operational priorities and ensure daily execution aligns with business and customer expectations.
• Evaluate performance and develop both immediate action plans and longer‑term operational strategies.
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels based on volume and operational requirements.

People & Performance

• Lead, coach, and develop team members while creating a culture of accountability and consistent performance.
• Monitor productivity and quality results and address performance gaps.
• Identify root causes of operational challenges and implement corrective actions or additional training when needed.
• Manage labor utilization, overtime, staffing, and retention.

Business & Financial Management

• Take ownership of operational budgets and P&L performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service, productivity, and profitability.
• Monitor key performance indicators and other measurements required by the business and its customers.
• Prepare and communicate routine operational performance reports.

Customer & Compliance

• Build strong working relationships with customers and ensure service expectations are consistently achieved.
• Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, operational standards, and customer expectations.
• Promote a safe, organized, and well‑managed working environment.
