Job summary

The State of Florida, Department of Children and Families, seeks an Operations & Management Consultant I in the Economic Self-Sufficiency program to supervise front-line staff and oversee service delivery in the Tampa area.

This role requires extensive knowledge of federal and state laws, data collection and analysis, and the ability to plan, train, and evaluate staff; teleworking is not an option, travel is required, reports to the Program Administrator, and the bi-weekly salary range is

Qualifications

• Four years or more of professional experience working with DCF Economic Self-Sufficiency processing applications for government assistance for eligibility determination, investigation, interviewing or counseling.
• Minimum one year of supervisory experience over eligibility in the DCF-ESS Program.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs. or more.
• Must be willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct supervision of front-line supervisors for the delivery of services to departmental customers.
• Evaluates subordinates and their administrative units on performance and quality of service delivered to departmental customers; provides positive reinforcement along with corrective actions as necessary.
• Develops and coordinates corrective action reports for effectiveness and timelines within program policy and procedure guidelines.
• Monitors and evaluates operational outcomes.
• Recommends and initiates performance improvement strategies.
• Prepare reports and presentations.
• Assists with operational planning and service delivery.
• Uses program expertise to assist with resolving difficult or high-profile clients, provider complaints, or other customer service issues.
