Job summary

Florida Department of Children & Families in Fort Pierce is seeking an Operations & Management Consultant I - SES to identify and resolve operational and management problems within the Office of Economic Self Sufficiency. Responsibilities include training staff, reviewing policies, and coordinating improvements.

The role requires on-site work with travel within the region, and a comprehensive benefits package is provided for full-time Selected Exempt employees.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of data collection and analysis.
• Knowledge of basic management principles and practices.
• Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to improve operational practices.
• Ability to organize data into reports and documents.
• Ability to conduct fact-finding research.
• Ability to apply rules, regulations, policies to operations.
• Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.

• Experience in ESS supervisory capacity.

Responsibilities

• Recommends operation policies and helps implement procedures to meet objectives.
• Monitors activities to meet service objectives and compliance.
• Investigates and analyzes issues to propose solutions.
• Provides daily consultation to management on program operations.
• Consults with supervisors to resolve issues and improve programs.
• Performs on-site analysis to resolve operational problems and implements solutions.
• Assists in CAMS development, testing, and performance evaluation.
• Serves as single point of contact for auxiliary aids and services for deaf/hard of hearing.
