Job Responsibilities

  • Planning and Scheduling:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain preventive and corrective maintenance plans.
  • Create detailed maintenance work orders, including task lists, required materials, labor hours, and safety protocols.
  • Schedule maintenance activities to minimize disruption to production operations.
  • Prioritize work orders based on criticality and resource availability.
  • Resource Management:
  • Coordinate with maintenance technicians, contractors, and suppliers to ensure necessary resources are available.
  • Maintain inventory levels of spare parts and materials, ensuring timely procurement.
  • Track equipment maintenance history and update records regularly.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, asset history, and inspection reports.
  • Generate reports on maintenance activities, equipment performance, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Analyze data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the production team to plan maintenance activities around operational schedules.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to manage vendor relationships and optimize supply chain efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with maintenance staff and leadership to ensure alignment on priorities and schedules.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes and reduce costs.
  • Participate in root cause analysis for equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support the implementation of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) practices
  • Office-based with visits to the production floor as needed.
  • May require flexible hours, including occasional weekends or evenings, depending on maintenance schedules.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or a related role preferred.
  • Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices, safety regulations, and equipment reliability.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in managing spare parts inventory.
  • Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, infrared thermography).
  • Ability to work in an industrial environment, including exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders as required.

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor’s degree in engineering, Maintenance Management, or related field preferred).
  • Certification in Maintenance Planning and Scheduling (e.g., CMRP or similar).
