Job description

We are looking for a sharp, versatile, and driven Manager to join IL MAKIAGE’s Operations & Logistics team. This is a high-impact role at the center of the company’s global physical operations — working directly with the VP of Operations and senior members of the Logistics team to help run and continuously improve our warehouse, inventory, and transportation network.

The Operations & Logistics team manages the flow of products across a complex global network of suppliers, warehouses, carriers, and markets. The team is responsible for ensuring inventory is in the right place, warehouse operations run effectively, shipments move on time, and the underlying operational and financial processes are accurate and well controlled.

This is an intentionally wide-ranging role. On any given day, you might be coordinating an important inventory movement, working with a warehouse to resolve an operational issue, investigating an inventory discrepancy, reviewing logistics performance and costs, managing month-end activities, or helping launch a new warehouse, carrier, or process. You will work closely with internal teams including Supply Chain, Finance, CX, Product, and Technology, as well as a broad network of external logistics partners around the world.

We are looking for someone who can take ownership quickly, operate independently, and relentlessly follow things through to completion. You will cover a significant amount of ground and gain broad exposure to what it takes to build and operate a global DTC consumer business.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Operations & Logistics
  • Manage day-to-day execution across IL MAKIAGE’s global logistics network, coordinating inventory movements between suppliers, warehouses, and other locations across domestic and international lanes
  • Work directly with warehouses, carriers, freight forwarders, suppliers, and other partners to ensure shipments and operational processes are executed accurately and on time
  • Manage the underlying operational processes supporting inventory movements, including shipment documentation, GRs, WRs, ASNs, invoices, and other ERP transactions
  • Support import/export operations and trade compliance, partnering with internal and external experts on customs, documentation, product classifications, and other requirements
  • Own key logistics-related month-end activities and work closely with Finance and Supply Chain to ensure transactions, invoices, inventory movements, and open shipments are accurately reflected
Warehousing & Inventory
  • Help manage day-to-day performance across IL MAKIAGE’s fulfillment and storage network, working directly with 3PL partners to resolve issues and continuously improve execution
  • Own recurring inventory processes including warehouse reconciliations, inventory adjustments, and investigation of discrepancies
  • Coordinate physical inventory counts and ensure appropriate preparation, execution, reconciliation, and follow-up across the warehouse network
  • Support warehouse requirements across fulfillment, packaging and collateral, inventory movements, special projects, and other operational needs
Strategic Projects & Continuous Improvement
  • Partner directly with the VP of Operations to identify, prioritize, and execute the team’s highest-impact initiatives
  • Drive operational projects end-to-end – from identifying the problem and developing the approach to aligning stakeholders, executing the solution, and tracking results
  • Support the evaluation and implementation of new warehouses, carriers, freight forwarders, technologies, and operating processes
  • Identify opportunities to improve service, reduce cost, strengthen controls, and build more scalable ways of working across the logistics network
  • Work cross-functionally across Supply Chain, Finance, CX, Product, Technology, and other teams to solve problems and drive business priorities forward
Analytics & Performance Management
  • Ground decisions in data by analyzing warehouse, inventory, transportation, and cost performance and identifying trends, root causes, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Build and maintain reporting, analyses, and operational tools that provide clear visibility into performance and enable better decision-making
  • Proactively leverage AI, Excel, Looker, and other tools to improve the team’s productivity, analytical capabilities, and operational visibility
WHO YOU ARE
  • You have a true spirit of ownership – when something is yours, you own it fully, see it through, and always hold yourself to a high bar
  • You have a bias to action: you move quickly, solve problems, and make smart decisions with imperfect information
  • You are exceptionally organized and detail-oriented — comfortable managing many simultaneous workstreams without losing sight of the individual details that matter
  • You work well with all kinds of people — across levels, teams, countries, and working styles — and know how to influence, align, and get things done without formal authority
  • You are comfortable holding external partners accountable and persistent in driving issues through to resolution
  • You can toggle fluidly between the 30,000-foot view and the granular details — equally comfortable thinking through how a process should work and investigating why an individual shipment or inventory transaction went wrong
  • You are analytically strong and highly comfortable working with numbers and Excel
  • You communicate clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally
  • You are low-ego, relentlessly curious, and eager to learn; you are willing to get into the weeds and do whatever is needed to get the job done
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
  • Location: Soho, New York (in-office 4 days a week)
  • Experience: 2–4 years of professional experience in a rigorous, fast-paced environment
  • Relevant backgrounds could include operations, logistics, supply chain, consulting, audit/advisory, strategy, finance, e-commerce, or other analytical and execution-oriented roles
  • Prior experience with logistics, warehouses, inventory, transportation, or physical goods businesses is helpful but not required
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel are required
  • Start Date: Immediate, with some flexibility
  • Benefits: Competitive package including unlimited PTO, 401(k) match, employer-sponsored healthcare, paid disability leave, and commuter benefits
