Job summary

Agtegra Cooperative in Aberdeen, SD is seeking an Operations Management Trainee (OMT) to develop future leaders within our operations teams. The program offers hands-on experience across grain handling, agronomy operations, safety, logistics, and team leadership with rotation through key areas.

Trainees will work closely with experienced managers to build the skills needed to lead high-performing locations and to travel between locations as part of the training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong interest in agricultural operations and leadership development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
• Willingness to relocate and travel within Agtegra’s trade territory.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to perform physical job duties including up to 50lbs and varied conditions.

Responsibilities

• Participate in structured training across grain, agronomy, and operations functions.
• Assist with daily operations including receiving, storage, handling, and shipping of grain.
• Support safety programs and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Learn and assist with inventory management, quality control, and facility maintenance.
• Observe and support team leadership, scheduling, and workforce coordination.
• Collaborate with location managers to drive operational efficiency and customer service excellence.
• Develop knowledge of Agtegra systems, procedures, and best practices.
• Travel between locations as part of the training program.
