Job summary

Ferrellgas is seeking a General Manager Trainee to develop into a nationwide operations leader. You will gain hands-on exposure to propane operations, logistics, safety, and customer service while working with experienced leaders.

This program emphasizes leadership, budgeting, and P&L awareness, preparing you for future General Manager roles across Ferrellgas' network; relocation after about 12 months is required and travel within the region may be needed.

Qualifications

• Willingness to relocate after ~12 months in the development program.
• 3+ years of leadership or management experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Growth-minded, adaptable, and motivated to learn quickly.
• Operational, logistics, transportation, service, or related leadership experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to travel within region as needed.

Responsibilities

• Learn all aspects of propane operations, logistics, safety, customer service, and business management
• Partner with experienced leaders to drive operational performance and team success
• Develop leadership skills through hands-on training, coaching, and real-world business experience
• Support sales growth, operational efficiency, and customer retention initiatives
• Gain exposure to budgeting, KPIs, workforce leadership, and P&L management
• Prepare for future General Manager opportunities within the company
