Ferrellgas is seeking fast-learning professionals for a General Manager Trainee program designed to prepare high-potential leaders for future GM roles across our national network. You will learn propane operations, logistics, safety, customer service and business management while pairing with experienced leaders.

The role offers hands-on training, exposure to budgeting, KPIs, and P&L management, with relocation after ~12 months and regional travel.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership or management experience.
• Willingness to relocate after approximately 12 months in the development program.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to travel within region as needed.

Responsibilities

• Learn all aspects of propane operations, logistics, safety, customer service, and business management.
• Partner with experienced leaders to drive operational performance and team success.
• Develop leadership skills through hands-on training, coaching, and real-world business experience.
• Support sales growth, operational efficiency, and customer retention initiatives.

This is not a traditional Assistant General Manager role. Our General Managers oversee large-scale operations that may include multiple service locations, complex logistics, significant P&L responsibility, and teams of 100+ employees.

The General Manager Trainee role is designed to prepare high-potential leaders for future General Manager and operational leadership opportunities across our national network.
