Job summary

Ferrellgas is seeking ambitious professionals for its General Manager Trainee program. You will rotate through propane operations, logistics, safety, and business management to develop into a national General Manager leader.

High-potential candidates will gain exposure to budgeting, KPIs, and P&L, with a path toward national leadership opportunities and relocation after about a year in the development program.

Qualifications

• Willingness to relocate after approximately 12 months in the development program is required.
• 3+ years of leadership or management experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Growth-minded, adaptable, and motivated to learn quickly.
• Operational, logistics, transportation, service, or related leadership experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to travel within region as needed.

Responsibilities

• Learn all aspects of propane operations, logistics, safety, customer service, and business management.
• Partner with experienced leaders to drive operational performance and team success.
• Develop leadership skills through hands-on training, coaching, and real-world business experience.
• Support sales growth, operational efficiency, and customer retention initiatives.
• Gain exposure to budgeting, KPIs, workforce leadership, and P&L management.
• Prepare for future General Manager opportunities within the company.
