Tyson Foods is seeking an Operations Management Trainee to develop leadership skills while supporting day-to-day production and operations. You will analyze performance data, identify improvement opportunities, and help drive safety, quality, yield, and efficiency initiatives.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with HR, Maintenance, FSQA, and Accounting, and prepares you for future supervisor positions through hands-on leadership and process optimization.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical degree or higher in a related field or equivalent practical experience (1 year)
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Operations, Agriculture, Animal Science, Poultry Science, Food Science, or similar
• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical thinking

Responsibilities

• Analyze performance results to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
• Recommend and support improvements in safety, quality, yield, and efficiency
• Troubleshoot operational issues and propose solutions
• Lead teams or processes as needed (line coverage, projects)
• Monitor compliance and escalate risks when needed
• Drive continuous improvement (cost savings, waste reduction, efficiency gains)
