Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking an Operations Management Trainee (OMT) to develop into a first-line leader supporting day-to-day production and performance. The role uses data analysis, cross-functional teamwork, and independent judgment to identify opportunities and drive improvements in safety, quality, yield, and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree or higher (1 year experience acceptable) with exposure to manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in a related field or equivalent practical experience (1 year)
• Exposure to production, agriculture, or manufacturing environments
• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical thinking

Responsibilities

• Analyze performance results to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
• Lead teams or processes on projects and line coverage
• Support supervisors with data and recommendations
• Monitor safety and quality standards and escalate risks as needed
• Assist in staffing, production flow, and resource planning
• Drive continuous improvement and cost savings initiatives
• Collaborate with HR, Maintenance, FSQA, and Accounting
