Job summary

AmeriLife in Tampa seeks a detail-oriented, strategic Operations Director who will oversee departmental planning and drive progress across teams.

You will innovate to boost productivity, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment.

The role collaborates with the President to set goals, supervise staff, and optimize profitability while upholding high standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum BS/BA in Business Administration or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience as department director or similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of performance and operations management.
• Familiarity with regulations and quality standards.
• Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office and relational databases and software.
• Exceptional communication and public speaking skills.
• Outstanding leadership and organizational skills.
• Competent collaborator and skilled cross-functional communicator.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with President to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals
• Take lead on all projects for the company and follow up with progress made
• Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of business to ensure smooth progress
• Supervise staff from different departments and provide constructive feedback
• Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements
• Manage procurement processes and coordinate material and resources allocation
• Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction
• Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability with President
• Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation
• Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors (leads, carriers, etc.)
