Xcel Energy is seeking a Standard Operations Leader to supervise a high-performing, safety-focused operations team across multiple functions. You will drive efficient use of resources, ensure safe and compliant operations, and align work with corporate goals and performance metrics.

The role demands recruiting and developing talent, managing performance, and fostering strong internal and external relationships while ensuring adherence to labor agreements and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in design, construction, operations, engineering or maintenance of utility systems or equivalent.
• Must be able to work an on-call schedule.
• Demonstrated technical expertise in standards, procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Operational knowledge of work and asset management and analytical/reporting applications.
• Effective change leadership and ability to communicate strategies to stakeholders.
• Proven results achieving performance and operational metrics and driving process adherence.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible safety leadership and contribute to a strong safety culture.
• Evaluate team performance and drive continuous improvement.Identify opportunities and drive adoption of process changes.
• Provide direct leadership over crew effectiveness, quality and productivity.
• Recruit and develop talent; coach and manage performance.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee regulatory compliance and ensure training and documentation are completed.
