Job summary

Reeder Distributors, Inc. seeks an experienced Director of Operations to oversee daily activities across fuel distribution, dispatch, tank operations, field service, and support functions.

You will lead about 60 staff, drive continuous improvement, and partner with Safety to foster a strong safety culture. You will develop workflows, establish accountability, monitor KPIs, and ensure compliance with DOT/OSHA.

Qualifications

• Experience leading operations teams in fuel distribution or related industries.
• Proven ability to manage supervisors and cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of operational KPIs, reporting and performance management.
• Experience developing and implementing SOPs and process improvements.
• Knowledge of DOT/ OSHA safety requirements and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to analyze data and implement corrective actions.
• Proven leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership across multiple departments to ensure efficiency and alignment.
• Lead and develop a workforce of ~60 employees including managers and frontline staff.
• Set expectations, accountability, and performance objectives for teams.
• Monitor KPIs like on-time delivery, productivity, customer satisfaction, and inventory use.
• Develop and continuously improve SOPs for consistent processes.
• Identify challenges, analyze trends, and implement safety, efficiency, and productivity improvements.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, environmental regulations and company policies.
• Lead daily operational meetings and cross-functional communications.
• Oversee budgeting, planning, and P&L discussions with executive leadership.
• Support customer relationships by delivering reliable, high-quality service.
