Job summary

CFS in the Greater Danbury area seeks an Operations Manager to lead plant operations onsite, guiding a next-generation ERP rollout and shaping a clear path into senior leadership as retirement approaches.

You will direct planning, quality, production, and shipping/receiving, develop strategies to boost productivity, safety, and cost-efficiency, and monitor KPIs. Occasional UK travel is expected as part of management meetings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Operations or Supply Chain management in a managerial/leadership role.
• Strong people management and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office/365; Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Business Central a plus).

Responsibilities

• Lead all plant operations, including production, quality assurance, purchasing, and logistics.
• Develop operational strategies supporting productivity, safety, and cost-efficiency.
• Monitor production KPIs (throughput, yield, downtime, on-time delivery) and drive improvements.
• Manage manufacturing schedules, staffing levels, and resource allocation.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for production issues.
• Develop and monitor operational budgets and capital expenditures.
